At Summerdecks we offer you option of a timber or steel frame on all our decking and veranda installations. So, depending on your requirements we can offer suitability and long lasting installations that last for years.

What's the difference between the two?

There isn't much difference between the timber and steel except steel will last longer and is much stronger than timber. Timber is usually chosen for household decking as most home owners like to change their garden design every 10 years or so. But for caravan and home owners and some larger homes the steel option is preferred because they expect their decking installation to be more permanent.

The steel option is more expensive than the timber option but unlike other vinyl decking suppliers and installers throughout the UK who use plastic brackets, we use steel brackets and fixings to connect the steel frames. This in terms of  keeping the frame shape and stability practically means they are guaranteed. And don't forget that steel frames are fire resistant offering better standards for safety for commercial owners.
